Reno’s musical journey kicked off in his teens within the vibrant NYC punk rock scene, gracing iconic venues like CBGB. Transitioning into his early 20s, he delved into jazz fusion, honing his playing skills. A pivotal moment arrived in the early 2000s when Freddy Ordine invited him to join Havochate as their touring bassist, marking a welcome shift in his career. Following Havochate’s disbandment, a hiatus for family focus ensued. In 2015, Freddy once again tapped Reno to join the musical realm, giving birth to Weapons of Anew. Since then, Reno has been a dedicated and active member, contributing to the band’s ongoing journey of playing and touring.
